When you are the main or first point of contact for students who need various sorts of help (academic, mental health, EOO, disability, career, financial, etc.) you might wonder how to talk to them or where to send them on this huge campus. This course intended for advisors, faculty, or anyone else who interacts closely with students offers tips and information for supporting students, connecting them to resources, and encouraging communication within departments. Well identify the most common needs/issues, take note of the less common ones, share resources, and role play conversations that can be challenging.
