Description
Mindfulness has become quite the buzzword these days. What place does mindfulness have in a work setting? Well, as it turns out . . . a lot. Research has proven that a mindfulness practice can increase your focus and attention, decrease your level of anxiety, and improve your sleep and general well-being. Koru is a 4-week series that meets once per week for 75 minutes. During the weekly class, members learn and practice skills to develop a mindfulness practice. Class members also have access to a free mobile app where they can practice and record their practice during the week and communicate with the instructor. The program was developed by two physicians at Duke Universitys Health Center and has been used successfully there for over 15 years.

What is required of you to participate? " A commitment to attend all four training sessions " An open and curious mind " A desire to approach your life in a less stressed, calmer, more focused way " A sincere willingness to try to practice the techniques learned in the class for 10 minutes a day
