During a tornado warning, building occupants should seek shelter
on the lowest level of the building in an area devoid of windows and
high ceilings.
Tornado shelter areas
In auditoriums, students/staff move towards front of the auditorium and away from windows; faculty should use controls at entrance to close shades over windows. Other students and staff in the remainder of the building should evacuate to 1st floor interior hallways without windows, restrooms, or the Loading Dock. 2nd floor interior hallways without windows and restrooms may also be used as a safe space if absolutely necessary.
