During a tornado warning, building occupants should seek shelter
on the lowest level of the building in an area devoid of windows and
high ceilings.
Tornado shelter areas
All staff have been given a diagram of the building layout with highlighted rooms that are tornado shelters. The first floor to exit down spiral stair case or the staircase through the door outside the break room. Proceed to file room. File room is locked from the main exit, but a key labeled Tornado Shelter is in a location known to all staff. The men and women's bathrooms in the Property Control section of the building are alternate tornado shelters.
Property Control to exit into the file room or one of the restrooms. All shelters are on the basement level, and doors have been labeled tornado shelter.
