During a tornado warning, building occupants should seek shelter
on the lowest level of the building in an area devoid of windows and
high ceilings.
Tornado shelter areas
All of the customers that are eating in Oglethorpe Dining Commons, will be directed in to the back of the house: kitchen, dish room, bathrooms or bake shop areas. We will leave a Full-Time employee in each of these areas for supervision. All these areas are not exposed to glass. All employees are directed to the rear interior of our building in the storeroom area where there is no exposure to glass. We then take a head count so we can account for all employees. Depending on how many customers are dining in Oglethorpe Dining Commons, customers may also be sheltered behind the large stone curved wall that is near our dish return area.
